Textiles have been an essential part of civilisation for thousands of years. The earliest has been traced back 34000 years to a cave in Gerogia, in the form of flax linen. There are many uses for textiles which inlude clothing, soft furnishings, wall hangings and other art.

Unfortunately, the textile industry has a detremental impact on the environment due to the resources used to produce synthetic fabrics. Purchasing sustainable texiles, including items which are made with renewable, or recycled fabrics, will help to reduce the harmful costs to the environment.
